Monster: Quick Effects Empty Monster: Quick Effects

Post  D.D. Eatos Tue Jun 25, 2013 12:12 am

Quick Effects are effects that are capable to be activated during any turn and some can be activated at any point of the duel.

Quick Effects can either start a chain or be a part of a chain.

Quick Effects have monsters who's effects are similar to Ignition effects and Trigger effects. The following names do not exist in the game, but it is made to help understand the difference.

*Monsters with Quick Trigger effects are the kind of effects that can activate during any point of the duel as long as it is in response to your opponent's card effects or actions. Quick Trigger Effects can activate during the Damage Step if they are Negating. Do not confuse these with actual Trigger Effects. Quick Effects can be discriminated from Trigger Effects because they can be activated during either player's turn, come in the form of negation, and are more associated with the following text:

"When a [Type of card] is activated..."
"During either player's..."
"When your opponent..."

Or has a text where is can activate during a certain Phase but not during a specific player turn.

*Monsters with Quick Ignition effects are also able to activate during any point of the duel, except during the Damage Step, unless their text allows them. These effects can be Chain Link 1 or beyond. Some Quick Ignition Effects can only activate during your opponent's turn, however these cards wouldn't need to react to an opponent's actions or card effects, such Effect Veiler It's almost no different from Quick Trigger Effect. They share the same text:

"During either player's..."
"During your opponent's..."

Quick Effects are Spell Speed 2
